Texans JV2 fought back after falling down by five runs in the fifth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 6-5 defeat to Castleberry on Tuesday. Texans JV2 managed five runs in the failed comeback. Grayson Randell, Jeffery Pittman, Peyton Williams, Randell, and Connor McKinney all picked up RBIs in the rally.

In the first inning, Castleberry got their offense started when Casarez singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Texans JV2 tallied three runs in the seventh inning. Texans JV2's offense in the inning came from a single by Randell, a groundout by McKinney, and an error on a ball put in play by Williams.
Castleberry scored four runs in the fifth inning. Castleberry big bats were led by Soto, Barboza, and Gary, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Gavriel earned the win for Castleberry. He lasted six innings, allowing 11 hits and five runs while striking out three and walking one. Vargas threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Vargas recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Castleberry.
Jacob Mesa took the loss for Texans JV2. He allowed nine hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
Texans JV2 tallied 11 hits in the game. Paden Hickman and Randell each had multiple hits for Texans JV2. Hickman led Texans JV2 with three hits in four at bats.
Castleberry totaled 11 hits. Peanut, Ivy, and Soto all managed multiple hits for Castleberry. Peanut went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Castleberry in hits.
